After the match, an emotional Roode soaked in the adulation from the fans, as Bully Ray looked on in disbelief with his opportunity to headline BFG, taking place in his old ECW stomping ground, having slipped from his fingers.
Congratulations to Bobby, and to Beer Money parter James Storm, who cut an inspirational promo on how Roode earned this opportunity. TNA has a worthy contender, who for once is TNA home-grown, as it enters this potential new era where wrestling indeed matters.
No Surrender also featured a three-way match for the TNA title as Kurt Angle defended against Sting and Mr. Anderson by order of The Network. With the help of Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle continues to keep his hold on the title.
In other matches, Brian Kendrick lost the X division title to Austin Aries; Matt Morgan defeated Samoa Joe;Winter regained the Knockouts title in her second consecutive pay-per-view victory over the defending champMickie James; Mexican America retained the Tag Team titles against the newly formed duo of Devon andD’Angelo Dinero; Bully Ray defeated James Storm; and Jesse Sorensen defeated Kid Kash for a shot at the X division title.
