By THE Wrestling Times -  -- The main item on Thursday's Impact episode is Hulk Hogan making his "big announcement" that will lead to next week's episode, where he officially makes the the "big announcement" that was taped last week in Knoxville, Tenn.

TNA's official advertising reads: "Hulk Hogan will deliver a major announcement on Thursday's huge Impact Wrestling broadcast on Spike TV. What does Hogan have planned just weeks before Bound For Glory? Don’t miss it, as Hogan promises to drop a bombshell!"

-- Related to Sting, who Hogan is scheduled to face at the BFG PPV, TNA is advertising Sting for the start of the show with a promo directed at the members of Fortune (#1 contender Robert Roode, James Storm, A.J. Styles, Daniels, and Kaz).

-- In the ring, Roode will face his latest Fortune opponent, A.J. Styles, in a singles match leading to Roode challenging Kurt Angle for the TNA World Title at the PPV.

Lucha Libre USA's Second Season debuting Saturday on MTV2

By THE Wrestling Times -  The debut of Lucha Libre USA’s second season of their Masked Warriors program (October 1, 10:00 a.m. EST on MTV2) comes at a time that may not be the kindest to a new weekly pro wrestling show. Masked Warriors's first season - now available for viewing on MTV.com- originally aired in the summer of 2010, and you only need to look at the recent ratings for shows already on the air to get a sense of the uphill battle LLUSA faces.

While WWE’s recent string of quality pay-per-views has garnered excitement among some wrestling fans, it hasn’t translated to an increase in the general television audjence, with WWE Raw recently scoring one of the lowest ratings of the past 14 years. Meanwhile, the country’s second biggest promotion, TNA, remains unable to expand the audience of its weekly Impact Wrestling program on Spike TV.

These low ratings may simply be a product of sheer exhaustion. Even if a wrestling fan avoids WWE’s Internet-only NXT and Superstars programs,…

One-half of WWEs Usos arrested Thursday morning on drunk driving charge

By THE Wrestling Times -  One-half of the Uso Brothers, Jimmy Uso (Jonathan Fatu), was arrested on a drunk driving charge early Thursday morning in Florida.

Fatu was arrested at 3:14 a.m. in the Tampa area when a police officer "observed the defendant traveling the wrong way on Howard Avenue in a silver Mustang," according to an arrest report.

Fatu submitted to a breathalyzer test that revealed a blood alcohol reading of .180, which is above the 0.08 legal limit. Fatu remained in Hillsborough County Jail on Thursday in lieu of $500 bail.

Jimmy Uso arrested for driving under the influence and traveling the wrong way on a street

By THE Wrestling Times -  The ABC affiliate in Tampa, FL is reporting that Jonathan "Jimmy Uso" Fatu was arrested at 3:14 a.m. today for driving under the influence.  A police officer stated that Uso was observed traveling the wrong way on a street.  The report stated that his blood alcohol level was .18, more than double the legal limit of .08.

LUCHA LIBRE USA BACK ON MTV2 THIS SATURDAY MORNING, WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE SHOW AND MORE LLUSA NEWS

By THE Wrestling Times -  Lucha Libre USA will finally return to MTV2 this Saturday morning at 10 AM Eastern for the kickoff of their second 13 episode "season." The plan is to do a lot of interactive material, including a contest where fans will be able to enter by answering multiple choice questions based on events that transpired on the TV series.
The promotion's storylines will continue from where they left off at the end of the first abbreviated season with Saturday's episode featuring Lizmark, Jr. vs. Marco Corleone vs. R.J. Brewer vs. Charly Malice to crown the first LLUSA champion, Mini Park vs. Rosetta Park in a Minis Lumberjack match and El Oriental & Tinieblas Jr. vs. Rellik and Sydistiko.

Once the show gets underway, LLUSA intend to announce some house shows. They have been running exclusively in New Mexico over the last several months filming episodes for their second and third seasons.

ROH TV CONFIRMED FOR NEW MARKETS

By THE Wrestling Times -  The FCC has approved Sinclair Broadcasting’s purchase of two stations in Salt Lake City, three stations in West Palm Beach, FL, as well as stations in Austin, Texas, and Providence, RI. Once the transitional period ends, those markets will carry the new Ring of Honor series as well.

**  There are plans to upgrade the cameras used by the promotion **

Kevin Nash is off this weekend’s Northeast Wrestling events in New York and Connecticut due to his shooting schedule for the film he is doing in Los Angeles. The promotion is bringing in Vladimir Kozlov and Sunny to make up for Nash’s cancellation. That’s the first independent appearances I’ve heard of Kozlov making in the United States. The 9/30 event in Waterbury, CT is headlined by Jerry Lawler vs. Tough Enough’s Luke Robinson plus Dave Finlay, Ted DiBiase Sr., Mickie James and Sunny appearing. The 10/1 event in Poughkeepsie features Terry Funk vs. Lawler, Tommy Dreamer challenging NEW champ Matt Tavern and Bret Hart appearing in what is billed as his last appearance in Poughkeepsie, working as the guest enforcer for Hale Collins vs. Vik Delicious, James vs. Alexxis, plus Finlay, Caleb Konley and Robinson.
